2007, second semester, one meeting weekly, 15 weeks.

WHY?

The idea was to create innovative, environmentally-friendly, and visually impacting costumes with a limited budget, for a group of actors who would perform the Noh modern play Kantan, the Magic Pillow.

WHAT?

Costumes and accessories created by students.

HOW?

Students designed costumes and accessories and built them from recycled materials, transforming them with several different techniques: embroidery, painting, folding, sewing etc.

IMPACTS

The main result was to draw attention to the creative processes that can be used, even in times of financial crisis. It was not a matter of choosing a material solely because it may be cheap or inexpensive: the choice falls on materials that are meaningful and can help the development of the show in which the costumes will be used.
